- DS Lite
Got hold of a DS Lite, and some games last week. Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing: Wild World. fun games, This will be my excuse if I don’t update the site much, in the next few weeks.

- Site Changes
Changed the design of the site a little today, wasn’t happy with the old top navigation.

- Grey Media Icons
I made these to be used with foobar2000, but I guess you could use them anywhere that you need some media-control icons. 24bit PNG, 16x16, goes well with most colours.

- Absent
I’ve not been doing a lot with the site lately, mostly because i’ve been pre-occupied with other things.. Just had a holiday in spain, in the mountain village of Darrical - good stuff! I’ve got various projects on the go at the moment, commision work, work for favours, just straight work.. and to top it off, i go back to college in a week!

- Icecons
Light colours and wet-looking highlights. Icecons are a 20x20 pixel 24bit alpha-blended PNG royalty free icon set created out of boredom (or desperation, I can’t decide).

Bear with me while i port it over to wordpress. Update: the design is pretty much done now, after much reiteration.

created some new buttons for foobar2000, based on the playback buttons in windows media player 11.

These were an experimental idea I had for some blog/CMS icons. I didn’t pursue the idea very far, but what I’ve done I’m making available.
- Foobar2000 Tutorial
Well, i’ve started putting together a tutorial for setting up foobar2000. I’ve seen plenty around, and there are plenty of cryptic foobar wiki’s, but none of them made it simple enough. so without the crap, here it is it’s still being written, but what’s down is good

- Site updates
Today i decided to make some changes/updates to the site.. tweaked k2 a bit, the graphics you see (with exception of the silk icons) are all pixelled by me, and yes it’s very mario inspired :) i added a few pages, and a new small icon set - you can check that out on the free icons page
- CSS Tabs, ala mog
So i was playing with some css ideas the other day, during a random spur of boredom (ok, well it wasn’t that random, infact i could have probably avoided it on account of i knew i would be bored.. but regardless..) i came up with some nice css tabs, using dave shea’s css sprite slicing technique, and douglas bowman’s sliding doors technique.
- Silk utorrent icon
I created this utorrent program icon from silk icons by Mark James. Merging three silk icons together, and with a little pixel tweakage from myself - it works as a nice utorrent icon.
- No-hue Icons
I created these icons for a CMS I’m writing called CMOGS, but I figure if CMOGS is going to be free, why can’t these be?
- Pixel-level Detail
It’s probably by fault of my monitor, or the size that I’m attempting to do this, but when pixelling icons, it’s hard to make distinguishable icons at less than 16x16 pixels. Take the following smiley icons I made, for example.. The “grinning” and “sad” smileys are almost indistinguishable.. Okay, so I’m using a small palette, but the pixel difference between the two of them is minor. I think I need to go back to the drawing board.
- Lego USB Stick
This probably isn’t a new idea, but i think i executed it nicely.. i had this 512mb sony usb stick, which was pretty scratched up, and i had lost the cap for it.. so i decided i’d put it inside some lego bricks.

yes, i’ve installed wordpress, and i’m using a template.. so shoot me. for the mean time, until cmogs is finished this is what i’m going to use

- Pointless software
.. what the hell is the point in this songbird crap :| imagine if itunes and firefox made love, songbird is the demonspawn of that unfortunate circumstance. i’ll stick with foobar2000, thankyou very much. .. its only a preview release, but damn.. they need to work on the interface a bit, and perhaps “think different” even if that is hard enough to do, stealing the apple dream.

so, moglenstar.net is back.. downtime recently (if anybody noticed, or cares) was because the domain expired.. well, it’s all back now thanks to neom i’m still working on the new design, and in the midst of writing a php based cms (which this entry is actually being posted from). the rest of the site should be online soon enough!
